Sarah Watt said: “Anywhere. I’ve lived in every part and they all have their qualities.

“I currently live in Dalston which is beautiful and full of people who care about each other and the village. Just lovely.”

Denise Witt said: “Love Carlisle, wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. Lived at Morton, Harraby, Dalston and Upperby. All good.”

Steven Garbett added: “My wife and I have had nearly four happy years in Currock.

“Great shops, sense of community, and lovely neighbours who have been great to get acquainted with since the March lockdown.

“Equally, I’ve been very happy living on Wigton Road and Brunton Avenue.”

Stuart Weebo Peebles said: “Brought up and schooled in Morton Park and Morton West, first house was in Denton Holme, but lived in Botcherby for 30 years on and off. There’s a fantastic community spirit in Botcherby.

“Everyone still speaks, nods etc. Few folk let it down but that’s the same wherever you go.”

Rhona Ward said: “Brought up in Currock, good and bad all in all places.”

Michelle Grierson said: “I have lived in Currock, Harraby, Morton, Raffles and now Newtown Road area. Never had a problem in any of them.”

Deborah Reed added: “Sandsfield Park. Not a choice but a lovely place to live.”

Sandra Smith said: “I love Raffles, been there 36 years.”
