FIREFIGHTERS made safe a building in Carlisle city centre after concerns from a member of the public.
A crew from Carlisle East Fire Station was called yesterday afternoon to the British Country Clothing Store, on English Street.
A passer-by had spotted a broken second floor window, with hanging shards of broken glass.
The service said it could have posed a danger to those walking under it, on the pedestrian pavement.
They used an aerial ladder platform to make the window safe by removing the glass.
A spokesman for the Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service said: "On Saturday afternoon we were alerted by a concerned member of the public.
"We attended with an appliance, two firefighters went up and took all the broken glass."
