NORTHERN rail says it’s looking to recruit its next cohort of apprentices.
The train operator has made the announcement to coincide with National Apprenticeship Week which runs to Friday.
About 24 roles are on offer as part of the 2021 intake.
Tricia Williams, chief operating officer at Northern, said: “Through this project they develop a wide range of skills, outside of their chosen specialism, and learn how to engage with local businesses, community groups and local government.
“Our scheme is not just about setting people up for a career in rail, it is about setting them up for life.
“Now we’re looking for the next generation of rail staff to us transform the rail network in the north of England."
This year, new apprenticeships are available in engineering and operations at locations across its network.
