A PROPOSAL to turn a garage into a holiday let has been approved.
Eden District Council gave the thumbs up to plans on Thursday for the property at Laurel Bank, Motherby, Penrith.
According to the design and access statement: "The garage would provide an ideal space to convert to a detached holiday let.
"It has a footprint of circa 30sqm which is too small to be a permanent dwelling, but is ideal for a small one bed holiday let - it already has power and water to it.
"It is a breeze block built structure, with external timber cladding.
"The changes required externally are very modest and the overall scale of the building, and its appearance would remain largely the same."
