A host of local solicitors with offices in Carlisle and Wigton will be supporting a Carlisle charity’s Make a Will Month campaign.

During April Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice, in conjunction with Atkinson Ritson and Wragg Mark-Bell, are offering the local community the opportunity and time to talk about their Will and the future.

In return for a suggested donation to the hospice people will receive a professionally written Will during the month.

Legacy Fundraising Manager, Karen Durden, said: "Making a Will is easy to do and keeping it up to date is very important to ensure that your wishes are carried out and your loved ones are looked after.

"We would like to thank all the local solicitors for supporting our Make a Will Month campaign.

"Every Will written and donation made during the month will help local people with life limiting illnesses to receive vital and specialist care when they need it the most."

Since 2011 Make a Will Month campaigns have helped to raise £71,464 in aid of the hospice. Approximately one in four patients at Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw are cared for as a result of a kind gift left to the hospice in a Will.
