Our readers had mixed views on whether it should be compulsory for all care workers to have the Covid-19 vaccine.
Many believe it should be the choice of the individual, while others believe for safety reasons they should have the jab.
Covid-19 vaccines may become mandatory for nurses and colleagues working in care homes with older adults in England, under new proposals from the government.
Linda Weightman said: "When I was a nurse I did everything in my power to protect the health and well-being of the patients. Why should it be different now? Yes health workers should be vaccinated."
Sarah Nugent commented: "It's a difficult one but I think most will do the right thing and take the vaccine."
Sandra Hodson added: "No because those workers that can't have the vaccine will lose their jobs just as some residents can't be given it. Not everything is black and white."
Heather S Cragg continued: "At the end of the day whether anyone has the vaccine or not is a personal choice. Nobody, regardless of job should be made to feel pressured into having it or forced to have it."
Jen Watt said: "If everyone refuses to have it we'll all be locked down forever, more people will die and the economy will completely collapse, thankfully the majority of people have had it and thanks to them life can go on for us all. I think care workers applying for future jobs will only be employed if they have been vaccinated."
Mark Crowther commented: "What's the point in forcing people, no matter what industry they're in, to have the vaccine? We've been told time and time again that you can still carry and transmit the bug whether you have the vaccine or not."
Eleanor Hodgson said: "Well I wouldn't want my relative cared for by someone that's not vaccinated. If you want your freedom then get vaccinated and stop trying to be clever. What's the point in jabbing all the residents if the carers wont have it. Ridiculous."
