A NEW Carlisle restaurant has announced that it's to open following the relaxation of the lockdown.
On Thursday Anatolia Turkish Restaurant & Meze Bar, on Abbey Street, announced that it was to open within two weeks and to make reservations through their Facebook page.
The restaurant is opening on the site of the former Pompeii Steakhouse which closed its doors for good last year.
Work to renovate the building has been going on for a number of months with a promise to open the new eatery “soon after lockdown”.
The news has been welcomed as a boost for the city centre which has been hard pressed following a wave of store closures
