PROPOSALS to fell, prune and work on 12 trees in Brampton's conservation area has been given the green-light.
Carlisle City Council last week approved plans for the works at Lawson Masonic Hall, Craw Hall.
Trees include Holly, Copper Beech, Hawthorn, Cherry and Walnut.
According to the recommendation and reasons report: "A full and comprehensive report has been carried out by Cumbria Tree Services, Arboricultural Consultancy on behalf of the client.
"The removal of one Holly and one Hawthorn tree are necessary due to poor form and health. Remainder of the trees require necessary pruning - this work should enhance the health and longevity of the trees."
