A POLICE investigation is underway in Silloth after a man was stabbed.
Officers have cordoned off a house in Pennine Close with police tape, and a PC is standing guard outside the door.
It comes after a 29-year-old man was injured around 10:30am today.
Police vans and cars can be seen parked up and down the road.
A Cumbria Police spokesperson said officers were called at around 10:30am today to the report of a man with a stab wound in the area, they are working with air ambulance and other emergency services at the scene.
The 29-year-old man from Liverpool was air lifted to the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle with serious injuries.
