KESWICK Mountain Rescue Team were called out twice yesterday to incidents that did not even require them to leave their vehicles.
At 2.14pm yesterday afternoon, the team were called to what is believed to have been an accidental triggering of an SOS beacon by a walker on Helvellyn.
The team went up to investigate after being unable to get in touch, however on the way up the mountain the team were informed by the walkers father that they had gotten to a road at the bottom of the mountain safe and well,
The second callout came at 5.37pm when a report was received of a biker with a suspected broke collar bone who had crashed in Whinlatter Forest.
As the first vehicle arrived on the scene the team were advised that the biker was being driven to A&E by a friend after self rescuing.
