Rescue teams were called out to help an injured walker at the weekend.
Crews from Wasdale Mountain Rescue and Duddon and Furness Mountain Rescue were contacted by police at about 2.30pm on Sunday (June 6), and alerted to reports of a woman who had injured her ankle while descending Great Gable.
The Wasdale team was mobilised and together, with assistance from Duddon and Furness MRT, the casualty was treated and stretchered off the hill.
The crews and woman were met by a land ambulance in the valley at the bottom.
The full team callout involved 15 members of Wasdale MRT, and took a total of six hours and 12 minutes to complete, with the crews finishing their rescue at 8.43pm.
A spokesperson for the crew said: "Our thanks to Duddon and Furness team on what was a difficult carry on bad ground, and in hot and sticky conditions."
