A plan for camping pods to be installed at Renwick has withdrawn by developers.
In a vision outlined to Eden District Council, applicant Scott Robson outlined proposals for 10 eco glamping style accommodation pods on the land adjacent to Ravenbridge in Renwick.
The proposals were, however, met with objections from members of the public when the application went to public consultation stage.
The Planning Officer for Friends of the Lake District asserted in an official response: "The combination of 10 pods, 30 solar panels and associated access, activity, parking and service structures will by virtue of its nature, scale and location alter the local landscape character, including tranquillity, as well as having potential impacts on adjacent habitats."
The plans were withdrawn by the developers on June 9.
