Today we feature photos from one of the smaller secondary schools in the county – Beacon Hill Community School in the historic town of Aspatria.

Our pictures show the wide variety of activities at the school over the last 20 years. In 2000 the school had won £500 from the Lawn Tennis Association during a school trip to the Wimbledon tennis championships.

A few years later in 2006 Polish medical students and pupils of the school took part in a Fashion in the Forest project as part of the Bassenthwaite Reflections programme aimed at involving more people in the lake restoration programme.

We also have a photo of the stars from the school’s production of Calamity Jane and pupils who took part in the Rock Challenge in 2003. Were you pupil at Beacon Hill? Tell us your memories.
