An investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed in Carlisle.
Officers were called just after 2am to a report of a knife attack on London Road.
Police have since launched an appeal for witnesses.
A police spokesman said: "An investigation is ongoing into a suspected stabbing which happened in Carlisle.
"We were contacted shortly before 2.10 am today (June 26) with a report that a man had been stabbed near the KFC restaurant on London Road.
"A 28-year-old man, from Carlisle, received hospital treatment at the Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle and has since been discharged.
"A section of London Road has been closed this morning as investigative enquiries were carried out. The road is now open.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this incident. Detectives are appealing for anyone with information or anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to contact them on 101."
