Carlisle United have launched a ticket discount scheme for key workers who have gone above and beyond during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Blues have announced a 'Blue Light' membership offer for members of the emergency services and NHS workers.

The club say it is a "huge thank-you" for the work they have done in the recent time of national crisis.

United are offering a place on their Blue Light scheme for £50, which will then entitle them to watch 10 home league games at the discounted price of £10.

They are also offering priority for home cup tie tickets and 10 per cent discounts in the Blues Store.

Tha national Blue Light Card scheme is a discount service for people who work in a range of fields, including 4x4 Response, Ambulance Service, Blood Bikes, Border Force, British Army, Cave Rescue, Community First Responders, Fire Service, Highways England Traffic Officer, HM Armed Forces Veterans, HM Coastguard, HM Prison Service, Immigration Enforcement, Lowland Search and Rescue, MoD Fire Service, MoD Police, Mountain Rescue, NHS, Police, Red Cross, Reserve Armed Forces, RNLI, Royal Air Force, Royal Marines, Royal Navy, Search and Rescue, Social Care Workers, St Andrews Ambulance, St John Ambulance and UK Visas and Immigration.

United say such people who are not members of the nationwide scheme can still join the Blues' Blue Light scheme by showing their official identity card, with a form of photo ID.
