A NUMBER of steam trains will be traversing an iconic Cumbrian rail route this week.
Settle Carlisle Railway Community Rail Partnership revealed that a number of the locomotives will be using the line throughout the week.
The Dalesman ran Northbound through Appleby at midday yesterday, while the Fellsman is due to stop there today from 12pm to 12.18pm, before passing again southbound at 4.30pm until 4.44pm.
Tomorrow, the Staycation Express will be undertaking a test run from Settle to Carlisle, again stopping twice at Appleby at 2.23pm and 4.28pm.
Finally, on Friday, July 17 the Cumbrian Mountain Express will pass through the station non-stop at 11.24.
The CRP has warned that train times may vary.
