A 20-YEAR-OLD man has been hit with a large fine after admitting a string of charges.
Niall Brendan White, of English Street, Longtown, appeared at Carlisle Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
He admitted charges of driving without insurance, driving without a licence, and possessing cannabis. He also denied a charge of failing to provide a specimen of blood after being stopped by police, but was found guilty.
All four charges related to an incident in Carlisle on October 12 last year. The court heard White drove a Ford Fiesta in Liddel Road in Longtown.
White was fined £200, and ordered to pay costs of £400 and a victim surcharge of £65. He was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 18 months, and the cannabis and paraphernalia in his possession was forfeited.
