With the Great North Run set to go ahead on September 12 in Newcastle, there are still a few places left to be filled.
Calvert Lakes Trust is currently looking for runners to complete the numbers in their running team.
They have places available for the Great North Run, the London Marathon, and Virtual Marathon.
Application forms can be found on their website with the deadline for applications closing on July 23.
The 13.1 mile race is billed at the "largest half marathon in the world".
A spokeswoman for the charity said: "If you are interested in taking part by running, jogging or walking please get involved."
According to the Great North Run Organisers raising money for the charity is one of the few ways of getting a place at this year's event.
The website also has information on how to start training from beginner levels to professional to help anyone take part.
