A DRIVER has been hit with substantial court costs after being found guilty of speeding.
Stuart Dargue, 50, of Churchview in Newton Arlosh, appeared at Carlisle Magistrates Court on Thursday.
He had previously denied a charge of speeding on the A595 Wigton Road in Carlisle. The court heard he was caught by a home office approved device driving his Ford at 38mph in a 30 zone.
Dargue was found guilty, and fined £125. He was also ordered to pay costs of £625 and a victim surcharge of £34.
His driving license was also endorsed with three penalty points.
