A MAN will be sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court after he admitted assaulting two police officers.
Lee Anthony Blinco, 35, of West Croft Terrace, Whitehaven, appeared at Carlisle Magistrates Court on Thursday.
He faced one charge of assaulting a police constable acting in exercise of his functions as an emergency worker by beating, one charge of resisting a female officer in the execution of her duty, and a further charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm — but this charge was withdrawn in favour of a further charge of assault by beating.
All four charges related to an incident at Whitehaven on July 13.
The court also heard that Blinco had committed the offences while on a suspended sentence. The order was made by Carlisle Crown Court on July 29, 2019, for offence of dangerous driving, aggravated taking without consent, and failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
Davison indicated a guilty plea to all charges, and was committed to Carlisle Crown Court for sentence.
He will appear there on August 13. Until then, he must live and sleep each night at an address in West Croft Terrace in Whitehaven.
