A multi-agency search took place at the River Eden today
Cumbria Police have confirmed that a body has been found at the River Eden following a multi-agency search.
In a statement they said: "Police can confirm that a body has been found following a multi-agency search operation at the River Eden, near Stony Holme."
"Police received a report of concern for the welfare of a teenage boy who had entered the water at around 9pm yesterday by the North West Ambulance Service."
The body was found at around 11.45am today (Sunday, July 18, 2021). Formal identification has not yet taken place.
