Following new lines of enquiry police are appealing for witnesses to a sexual assault that occurred on Sunday 27th June at approximately 2am in Carlisle.
A Cumbria Police spokesperson said: "During the incident a woman has been walking onto Grey Street from London Road when she was approached by an unknown male who asked her a question, the women then walked between Flower Street and Garden Street where the male grabbed the woman’s buttocks.
"Officers are appealing for anyone who might have witnessed or anyone with information relating to this incident can report online at www.cumbria.police.uk/reportit , quoting incident number 66 of 27th June. You can also phone on 101.
"Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111."
