A LOCAL theatre will be hosting summer school sessions for children over the coming weeks.
Theatre by the Lake in Keswick have partnered with Allerdale Libraries to offer places to children.
The service will be available for children who are on the free school meals scheme or whose families have been effected during the pandemic.
A spokesperson from the theatre said: "TBTL's professional theatre-makers will be offering two weeks of fun, games and creative activity for young people aged 7-11, to increase skills and confidence.
"Participants are invited to step behind the scenes, fire up their imaginations and bring their own stories to life."
The theatre told us that the children will be spending their time imagining, playing, creating and learning new skills.
It is also a great way for your youngsters to meet new people and make new friends.
There will also be a free lunch time meal available every day.
With each week offering a different programme there will be the option to be for either one week or the full two weeks.
The scheme is being ran as part of the Cumbria Holiday Activity Programme.
The summer school will also be open to children who have an educational health care plan and those classed as having a disability.
Week one will run from the 16th to 19th August and the second week will run from the 23rd to 26th August.
