A CHRISTMAS-themed railway journey is coming back to West Cumbria.
Tickets for Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway’s Santa Express go on sale on Thursday, September 2.
The event has been running for decades and has proved popular in the past.
Lisa Braithwaite, marketing and events manager at the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, said: “There will be lots of things on offer. Mince pies and mulled wine for the adults, hot drinks for the kids.
“Our engines will be fully decorated, so will our stations. Lots of lights and Christmas trees and Christmas carols playing.
“There’ll be decorations scattered all the way on the journey. All the family have a chance to meet Santa in his grotto at the end of the line.”
The steam train completes a return trip from Ravenglass to Dalegarth.
Tickets cost £22.50 for adults.
