Tributes have been paid to a 'stalwart' of the Mountain Rescue Search Dogs team after she has sadly passed away.
The Lake District Mountain Search Dogs team announced the sad news about their retired searchdog Beck on their page.
The team said: "It is with a heavy heart that we announce Retired Search Dog Beck has passed away.
"Beck, a stalwart of the Association will be remembered by all, particularly her big smile and years of dedication to helping those in trouble on the fells of the Lake District and further afield.
"Beck, despite being 13 still managed to get, as Chris put it, her ‘flirty ears on’ around some of our younger dogs, Blue and Marty."
"Our thoughts are with Chris & Gill (his trainee search dog) during this difficult time.
"Thank you for your years of dedicated service Beck."
