LOVE Island stars hailed the Lake District as 'absolutely breathtaking' as they swapped their glamorous lifestyles for a weekend of wild camping.

Influencer Molly-Mae Hague and boxing boyfriend Tommy Fury, both 22, visited Honister's Pass and Great Gable during a camping trip in the Lakes.

The Manchester pair, who first met on series 5 of Love Island in 2019, were joined by Molly-Mae's sister Zoe Hague and her boyfriend Danny Rae for the adventure.

Molly-Mae, who is also the new creative director of Manchester-based global fashion brand PrettyLittleThing, shared a series of snaps of the trip on Instagram including one of herself and her man smooching with a backdrop of rolling hills.

Molly-Mae documented the group's outdoor weekend on YouTube, vlogging the trip to her 1.59 million subscribers.

In the vlog, the social media star jokes that she could have holidayed in Dubai for the same price the group spent on camping gear for the Cumbrian outing.

After an arduous climb up Great Gable, which measures in at 900m, Molly-Mae described the views over Buttermere and Crummock as 'absolutely breathtaking and stunning'.

She said: "These are the breathtaking views from where we've set up camp - it's literally unbelievable. It's so worth the walk up.

"It's one of the most challenging things I've ever done."

The group immersed themselves in the full camping experience by setting up tent at the peak of Great Gable, where they were visited by some curious wooly visitors eager to get in on the action.

The campers brought some tasty snacks with them to the mountain peak including: marshmallows, ravioli, custard, porridge, biscuits, as well as the controversial food option: spam.

Molly-Mae joked the tinned meat classic made her 'sick', insisted her sister is not 'eating that anywhere near' her.

The group ended the trip with elation after returning to the car park at Honister's Pass, after a 'tricky' walk back.
