A mountain rescue team saved victims of a mountain climbing accident.
The climbers were climbing at night, and suffered some injuries.
Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team reported that it was a full callout that started at 8:45pm on September 15, and lasted until 1:36am the next day, taking four hours and 51 minutes in total.
A spokesperson from the Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team wrote in a report that was posted on their Facebook page: "In the third call of the day, we were alerted by Cumbria police about two walkers who were struggling to complete the descent from Scafell Pike due to exhaustion and twisted ankles.
"After pain relief and some sustenance they were able to walk off slowly."
