A Cumbrian man is being commended for his amazing charity fundraising efforts where he has taken on some unbelievable challenges.
Mark Harding, from Wigton, is now made it as a Finalist in the Pride of Britain Awards.
Mark is a war veteran and was severely injured during his service, he now dedicates his time to fundraising and helping the community.
Mr Harding said: "I'm breathless. It's lovely to have made it this far but for me it's not about the award it's just about helping people and giving back.
"For me it's always about other people and I can empathise with what people are going through because of injuries.
"People with injuries aren't the only ones who are suffering it's their partners and families as well and that's why I do the fundraising."
Mark said that he and his family are delighted that he has made it to the finals and they are so proud of what he has done.
Mark reflected on when he became paralysed due to his injury and explained that he now appreciates what he can do and wants to keep pushing himself.
He said that he wants to show people that no matter what has happened you should always try to push yourself.
He told us that his grandmother gave him a lot of inspiration as she'd said 'with a positive mind you can achieve anything' he says that those words are ingrained into him.
The winners of the award are set to be announced later in the year and Mark is in the Regional Fundraiser Of The Year Category.
This festive period Mark is planning to take on the Walking Home For Christmas Challenge which will involve him hiking from Wigton to Penrith.
Working with Whitehaven Councillor Allan Forster they are hoping to deliver food packages to children who need them.
They have asked that if any businesses are willing to donate then to please get in touch on 07767 434561.
