DANIEL Craig’s last film as James Bond, No Time to Die, has grossed more on its opening weekend than any other film in the history of the James Bond franchise.
Becoming the biggest movie of the year after only four days in cinemas, the film closes the book on Craig’s arc as 007, gathering rave reviews from critics and filmgoers alike.

The third instalment of the series sees the MI6 agent stop gold magnate Auric Goldfinger from raiding Fort Knox and obliterating the world’s economy.
2) From Russia with Love
In Sean Connery’s second appearance as Bond, secret crime organisation SPECTRE set out to get their revenge on the protagonist after the demise of Dr No.
3) Dr No
The film sees Bond stop a scientific genius set on destroying the U.S. space program. Released in 1963, the film turned Ursula Andress, who played Honey Ryder, a household name.
4) Casino Royale
Daniel Craig’s first film as Bond offered a darker take on the character. After obtaining his “00” status, MI6 send their recruit to Madagascar to play a high-stakes game of poker against Le Chiffre who plans to use his earnings to facilitate terrorist organisations.
5) Skyfall
The film has Bond and M, played for a final time by Dame Judi Dench, retreat to a Scottish hideaway after a former MI6 agent manages to compromise his former employers.
6) Thunderball
With the theme performed by Sir Tom Jones, Thunderball sees Bond stop Emilio Largo from causing nuclear destruction in the Bahamas, north of Ian Fleming’s estate in Jamaica.
7) On Her Majesty’s Secret Service
George Lazenby’s only appearance as 007. The film, which also featured the late Diana Rigg, is praised for its great ski chases.
8) The Spy Who Loved Me
Roger Moore’s Bond uses the assistance of Russian agent Anya Amasova to stop shipping magnate Karl Stromberg from destroying New York with nuclear weapons.
9) Goldeneye
The first appearance by Pierce Brosnan, Bond must stop a weapon that could cause global tragedy. The film helped spawn a computer game, widely regarded as one of the best made.
10) Licence To Kill
In Timothy Dalton’s last appearance as Bond, the agent pursues drug lord Franz Sanchez following the death of CIA agent Felix Leiter’s wife.
