TWO more people have been arrested as the investigation into the killing of Carlisle man Ryan Kirkpatrick continues, say police.
In a statement just released, police confirmed that two more people were arrested this morning on suspicion of assisting an offender - a 31-year-old man and 26-year-old woman.
Both are from Carlisle.
There have now been ten arrests linked to the investigation into the death of 24-year-old Mr Kirkpatrick.
He suffered fatal stab wounds following an attack at Carlyle's Court, in the city centre, on September 18.
Detectives said they believe Mr Kirkpatrick was the victim of a "targeted" attack.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said that officers are continuing to investigate the tragedy, with the enquiry based at a Major Incident Room which has been set up at the city's Durranhill Police HQ. Officers continue to encourage anyone with information regarding the death of Mr Kirkpatrick to come forward.
