A Keswick-based cycling company are offering locals to chance to give their skills a boost this weekend as they host coaching events.

Cyclewise is a diverse rider-owned independent mountain bike and road bike specialist business based in the Lake District, Cumbria, who offer a range of services and assistance on all things bike related.

Over the course of the weekend, they are offering both a two-day core skills course and a two-day maintenance course running from their new purpose-built venue at Whinlatter Forest.

The core skills course is one of their most popular mountain bike skills courses and concentrates on the basic mountain bike skills you need whilst out on the trails. If you are relatively new to mountain biking, or a little more experienced and feel you lack the skills and confidence to really enjoy your biking, this is the course for you.

The maintenance course shows you how easy it is to keep your bike in good working order. It will also give you lots of great trail and roadside repair tips to get you home safely should anything go wrong whilst you are out riding.
