Fans of The Flying Scotsman in Cumbria are in luck this week as the famous steam train will be passing through Carlisle, alongside the Tornado.
The trains will be in Carlisle on Wednesday, October 27 and Thursday, October 28.
On Wednesday the trains will be travelling from Middlesbrough.
The famous steam train stopped in Carlisle last week prior to travelling down to Preston.
On Wednesday The Tornado will depart west, calling first at Yarm station and heading on via Northallerton. The final calling point is York station.
From there it will head out of the city and will soon pass Settle Junction and join the famous route to Carlisle.
A slow pass off the viaduct proceeds the long Blea Moor Tunnel a climb to Ais Gill summit. From here it is downhill virtually all the way to Carlisle where the train will stop for a while before the return journey.
On Wednesday the Tornado and the Flying Scotsman will be in and around Carlisle Station between the times of 2.15pm and 3.45pm
The return journey is the same as the route from the morning, however, it will be led by the Flying Scotsman.
The Tornado and Flying Scotsman will then return to Carlisle station on Thursday, departing from Peterborough.
They will remain in Carlisle between the same hours as Wednesday, between 2:15pm and 3:45pm.
Staff request all people coming out to view the train do so from a position of safety, in line with the rules of the railway, and follow all directions from station staff.
