Mods of Whitehaven won’t need to be ‘running on the spot’ when a tribute to The Jam visit next month.
A Band Called Malice will perform at the town’s Marchon Centre on Friday November 12th, where guests will enjoy an evening listening to the classic songs originally performed by Bruce Foxton, Rick Buckler and the Modfather himself, Paul Weller.
The tribute act was formed in 2017 when frontman Andy Coultas decided to create a new band, recreating the sound of The Jam with the attitude and feel of the original line up. Finding musicians to do this was not an easy task as the people in the band had to be of a certain standard and were able to sing, commit, and of course love The Jam.
Andy turned to agency Their Music Rocks, and after a year of auditions and rehearsals, they finally settled on the line up to finally create A Band Called Malice.
With a number of well-known tracks, from ‘That’s Entertainment’, ‘Going Underground’, ‘The Eton Rifles’ and, of course, ‘Town Called Malice’, the band stop past Whitehaven in the middle of a UK tour and will make it a night to remember.
Tickets are still available through Skiddle.
