WORKINGTON Town Council held a spooky event to mark Hallowe'en in the town this year.
The council held a family fun day in their new Princess Street Community rooms on Thursday.
Children dressed up in their hallo'ween costumes and a pumpkin competition was held with the Mayor choosing a winner.
The event had to be moved inside due to the weather, however animal encounter were still able to entertain the children inside.
A spokesman for Workington Town Council, said: "It was a smashing event despite the weather, we had to move some of our event indoor as the weather was too damp for the animal encounters outside and unfortunately the owls could not make it as they were hampered by the weather, but overall a great time was had by the families who were able to attend.
"Angela Good and her marvellous volunteers did a really good job of providing crafts, face painting and spooky loveliness that the children enjoyed, supported by the officers of WTC.
"There was a pumpkin competition and winners were chosen and presented by the Mayor of Workington, Cllr Herbert Briggs.
"It was great to see the children of Workington dressed in their finest, most frightening costumes."
