A HERITAGE railway has issued an update on its closure in the wake of the floods.
Ravenglass Railway Museum, which preserves the historic collection of the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway, have announced that both they and the Railway will remain closed until the weekend of November 6.
During the floods on Thursday, October 28, they said: "Due to the current weather conditions and localised flooding, we regret to inform you that the Railway will now close for the weekend.
"We have taken this decision in light of the current road conditions for the safety of our passengers and staff.
"We will be returning for the first weekend of November for our new 'Eskdale Valley Explorer' Service, tickets will be live soon.
"If you have pre booked tickets for the weekend, the office is in the process of contacting you directly so please bear with us.
"We may be trying to call you. Apologies for any inconvenience.
Of the museum, they added: "Along with the railway, the museum will now remain closed until the weekend of November 6.
"This is due to the rather extreme weather we are having here in West Cumbria.
"Stay safe and dry everyone and we look forward to seeing you soon."
