Bonfire night is this weekend and many of us will be heading out to displays and events.
Nothing could put a damper on bonfire night more than damp feet and a chill through to your bones, so before heading out it is better to be prepared for whatever the weather throws at you.
The Met Office has issued the weather forecast for around Cumbria.
Carlisle
For those heading to Bonfire events tonight then you could be in luck. Friday is looking to be mostly dry with a chance of a few sporadic showers.
There’s definitely a chill in the air will highs of 12 degrees and lows of 11 with a real feel of 8 degrees.
Saturday is looking much wetter in Carlisle, with heavy rain forecasted up until 4pm. After that, it appears it will stay dry so hopefully your bonfire will too. Temperatures reach lows of 10 degrees with a real feel of 6 degrees, so be sure to wrap up warm.
Sunday is forecasted to be dry and cloudy during the day, and showers beginning at 6pm with highs of just 11 degrees.

Brough
Tonight in Brough rain is very likely. Showers are forecasted to last until around 4pm, with heavy cloud for the rest of the evening. In the evening temperatures sit at 8 degrees so be sure to wrap up warm.
Saturday’s forecast is much the same as Carlisle, however sporadic showers could continue in the evening. Temperatures are low again, and just 9 degrees so preparation for rain and cold will be required for those heading out.
Sunday in Brough is looking to be mostly dry, with highs of 9 degrees and chilly lows of 4 degrees.
Windermere
The weather in Windemere today is looking wet until 5pm when the showers might clear up. Sporadic showers could appear in the evening. Temperatures stay at 8 degrees and only rise in the late evening.
Saturday’s weather is forecasted rain for the majority of the day, with showers only predicted to stop after 6pm. Temperatures are slightly higher than Friday’s, but still sit around just 12 degrees so wrap up warm.
Sunday follows a similar suit to elsewhere, remaining dry and cloudy with highs of just 10 degrees. A good day to get out for a chilly Sunday walk.
