A VISITOR to Carlisle from London has appeared before a court in the city charged with having criminal cash and cannabis.
Islam Mema, 22, whose address was given as Cordwainers Walk, London, is accused of having £3,360 in criminal property in Carlisle on November 4.
He is further charged with possessing cannabis - a class B drug - with intent to supply the drug to another person or persons on the same date while in Cumbria.
Magistrates sent the case to the city's crown court for a hearing on December 6. Mema, represented by defence lawyer Chris Toms, was remanded in custody in the meantime.
No pleas were entered.
