HUNDREDS of pupils across the county yesterday donned their Pudsey ears and took part n fundraising for Children in Need.
At Ashfield Junior School in Workington pupils completed a danceathon raising £274 for the charity.
Headteacher Sue Frost said: "This year it has been lovely to bring the children back together again for events like Children in Need. We have organised a Danceathon and each class has had a 30 minute slot to dance in the hall throughout the day."
Hensingham Primary School, Whitehaven added an eco spin on their day, upcycling non-uniform.
Faye Eldon, Headteacher; "Our Eco Council recognised that Children In Need was a great opportunity to 'up-cycle clothing' rather than buy new items We have raised money for Children In Need whilst helping to save the planet".
Beckstone Primary School in Harrington even secured a slot on the main programme last night with a dance the children created.
Head David Warbrick said: "Firstly, we got the whole school dancing to a routine that was choreographed by Vicki Forster. All enjoyed learning the dance, even parents at home as it was modelled on our learning platforms."
