Fans of The Flying Scotsman in Cumbria are in luck this week as the famous steam train will be passing through Carlisle.
The express passenger train service will be in Carlisle on Saturday, November 27.
The journey will begin in Manchester at 6:40am, arriving at Carlisle train station at 1:38pm.
According to the West Coast Railways website, the journey will begin by being hauled by a vintage diesel engine as it makes its way to Hellifield. It then changes engines in Hellifield to the 60103 The Flying Scotsman for the journey along the famous Settle and Carlisle Railway line.
The train will make its way through Settle and over the famous Ribblehead Viaduct. It will then carry on north to Eden Valley and Eden Gorge, before arriving in Carlisle.
The Flying Scotsman will remain in Carlisle for around 2 hours, departing at 4:14pm, before making the same journey back to Hellifield.
