A Mountain Rescue team was called out to search for two walkers who had reported themselves lost.
Wasdale Mountain Rescue were called out at 4.08pm on November 29 to locate the two walkers who had become lost on Scafell Pike.
Because of the poor weather conditions, no knowledge of the missing people’s clothing, experience, or medical status was known.
A full team callout was initiated and routes were allocated to five different search parties.
With help from police, the team managed to locate the walkers on the top of Stand Crag near the Corridor Route, where they were found to be "very cold and wet, but unhurt".
They were able to walk off the hill after rewarming.
