Police Scotland can confirm a quantity of class B drugs have been recovered following a routine road policing stop near Moffat.
Officers from the road policing unit stopped a silver Skoda Octavia on the M74 northbound about 10am on Wednesday.
A search of the car revealed a quantity of herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of £105,000.
Two men aged 30 and 46 were arrested and charged in connection with drug offences and appeared at Dumfries Sheriff Court on Thursday, 2 December, 2021.
Detective Inspector Dean Little, of Dumfries CID, said: “This sizeable recovery shows the dedicated work from our local officers to stop the supply of drugs reaching our communities.
“I would encourage anyone who has any information or concerns surrounding the supply of drugs in their area to come forward and speak to police by calling 101 or report anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
