A Mountain Rescue team in North Cumbria have conducted one of their first training sessions of the year.
Penrith Mountain Rescue Team (MRT) have been out in the fells conducting essential training exercises to get them prepared for upcoming incidents.
A spokesperson from Penrith MRT said: "The Team were out training on Sunday, in the fells above Haweswater. The session focused on refreshing and practising skills in stretcher carrying and sledging (on grass and snow). Team members took the chance to be dummy casualties for the carries, which gives them a first-person look and feel for what casualties would experience. This allows the Team to adapt their carry skills to make it more comfortable for the casualty."
