There are several road closures and works being done across Cumbria this week, beginning January 10, that may cause disruption to your journey.

Data taken from Traffic England shows various closures across the M6, the A66 and more.

We’ve listed the active and future roadworks set to affect Cumbria this week.

M6 closures

M6 southbound between junctions J44 and J43 – Active roadworks will likely cause disruption until January 28.

M6 northbound exit slip at junction J43 – Both lanes will be closed on January 30 from 9pm until 5am January 31. This is due to planned roadside equipment maintenance.

M6 northbound exit slip at junction J42 – Roadworks are planned from 9am on January 27 until 4pm the same day. This will see one lane closed.

M6 southbound exit slip at junction J40 – Both lanes will be closed between 8pm on January 28 and 5am on January 29.

Junction of the A66 and the M6 J40 – One lane will be closed between 8pm on January 28 and 5am on January 29.

M6 southbound between junctions J40 and J39 – Two lanes will be closed from 8pm on January 26 until 5am January 27.

M6 southbound between junctions J39 and J38 – Two lanes will be closed due to roadworks between 8pm on January 27 and 5am January 28.

M6 northbound between junctions J37 and J39 – Active roadworks could cause disruption until 8pm on January 28.

M6 northbound between junctions J37 and J38 – From 11pm on January 23 until 11pm on January 24 one lane will be closed for roadside equipment maintenance.

A66 closures

A66 westbound between the junctions with the A5091 and the A591 east of Keswick – Roadworks are planned between 9:30am until 3:30pm on January 24.

A66 westbound between the junctions with the A591 north of Keswick and the A5086 – Horticultural works are planned between 8pm on January 23 until 8pm February 11.

A595 closures

A595 northbound between the junctions with the A5086 and the A5094 Whitehaven South – Roadworks are planned that could cause disruption everyday between the hours of 8pm and 6am. This will be in place from January 25 until February 8.

A595 southbound at a minor junction between A5086 and Sellafield Visitor Centre – Active roadworks will be in place until February 8.
