A secondary school in west Cumbria are offering year 11 pupils an amazing opportunity to take part in a new scholarship scheme.
St Bees School are offering the scheme which would cover 100% of the tuition and boarding fees. Students will be able to stay in the new boarding house which is already home to 50 pupils.
The students are expected to be high performers and will now have the chance to take part in this unique opportunity.
A spokesperson from St Bees School explained: "The motto, 'work hard, play hard,' is particularly prevalent in the school’s Sixth Form, especially given 2021 results which saw 100% students achieving A*-B in A and AS Levels.
"In Sixth Form, students are able to choose three subjects from Maths, Further Maths, Art, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, History, English Literature and Geography.
"Students also conduct a research project (the International Project Qualification – IPQ - highly sought after by universities), in which they focus on any topic of interest - and so this could easily combine their passions or be something related to what they would like to study at University."
The school offers small class sizes with sixth form classes consisting of around three or four pupils, they also provide supervision and tutorials giving the youths a chance to excel.
They say that they offer a 'bespoke, made to measure education' that focuses on character dedevelopment through all subjects. There are a range of extra curricular activities on offer and a Global Awareness Programme.
