A 30-foot tree has blown down onto a house on Mayfield Avenue, earlier this morning.
Carlisle Fire East responded to the incident, caused by the high winds of Storm Malik, at around 9.15am.
A spokesperson for the emergency service said it caused "quite a bit of damage to both the roof and the side of the residential property".
The tree was blocking the doorway to the entrance and exits of the property, resulting in the emergency service having to create a suitable access route to and from the residence.
