A council has announced a change in its executive.
The Leader of Carlisle City Council, Cllr John Mallinson has announced a change in the make-up of the council’s Executive.
Following Cllr Paul Nedved’s decision to step down from the Executive, Cllr Marilyn Bowman will replace him as the new Portfolio holder for Economy, Enterprise and Housing.
Cllr Bowman has previously held the Economic portfolio and is a former Mayor of Carlisle (2019 - 2021).
Leader of Carlisle City Council, Cllr John Mallinson, said: “I’d like to thank Cllr Nedved for his time on the Executive.
"He has been involved in a variety of projects and we appreciate all that he has done to drive forward economic growth for the city.
“Cllr Marilyn Bowman will be a welcome addition to the Executive and has a wealth of experience to bring to the Economy, Enterprise and Housing portfolio.
"I am sure she will be a great asset and will help drive forward the many economic regeneration schemes planned for the city.”
