Cumbrian cricket star Ben Stokes has confirmed he is to star in a documentary about his life and career.
The England all-rounder, from Cockermouth, says he has been "having a blast" contributing to the production.
It was revealed by The Guardian this morning that a camera crew will accompany Stokes during next month's England tour of the West Indies.
The 30-year-old is said to have been working ona feature-length film with the TV production company Whisper and his sponsors Red Bull.
Stokes used Twitter to confirm the documentary was in production.
He said: "Yes I’ve been filming a documentary…you can watch it and see how [things have] been for me (pretty interesting tbh)…
"Or you don’t have to watch it, so please stop having your opinion before you know what I’ve gone into in the doc…..I’ve had a blast doing it so far."
The period of filming includes the recent break Stokes took from cricket to prioritise his mental well-being and to recover from injury.
It also covers the time when he lost his father Ged.
Other aspects of his life and career that could be included in the film are his sensational innings for England against Australia at Headingley in the 2019 Ashes, as well as his inspiring performances to help England win the World Cup that summer.
Off-field incidents, such as the fight in Bristol in 2017 which cost Stokes a place on that year's Ashes tour - and for which he was later found not guilty of affray - could also be mentioned.
The Guardian say the England and Wales Cricket Board has "given its blessing" to the project. Stokes has opted out of the Indian Premier League this year to focus on international cricket.
It will see Durham all-rounder Stokes become the latest high-profile sports person to have an official documentary film made about their life and career.
