  1. AWOL: THE YELLOW EARL, SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 26

The London-based band, which includes Dave 'Sniffa' Bryce (lead guitarist from 80s band Spider), will arrive at Whitehaven this weekend. With influences from AC/DC, Aerosmith and Guns N Roses; these guys are not to be missed!

  1. WE WILL ROCK YOU: THE SOLWAY HALL, FRIDAY 25 AND SATURDAY 26

The Whitehaven Theatre of Youth will be performing the West End classic up until the weekend. The musical, written by Ben Elton, focuses on two bohemians who try to break away from a future where everyone dresses, thinks and acts the same, accompanied by some of Queen’s greatest hits.

  1. PARKRUN: WHINLATTER ROAD, SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 26

The group meet up every weekend for a free and fun 5k run. If running isn’t your thing but feel like you’d like to socialise, you can turn up to cheer on those taking part.

  1. CUMBRIA THRO’ THE LENS: THE BEACON MUSEUM

This Exhibition will feature a wide variety of images of Cumbria – including the architecture and history of our industrial towns and villages, the lakes, coastal scenes, mountains and wildlife. The photographers range from beginners to those who have awards from the Royal Photographic Society and the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain.
