A Carlisle band have announced that they will be releasing a new album in the coming months.
Hardwicke Circus are currently in the process of recording their second album which is due to be released in the summer.
The band say they are "very excited" for their latest release and are looking forward to getting it out there.
Dave Robinson, the band's maanger, spoke with us about the new album.
Mr Robinson said: "They are recording it at the moment and they are recording it with the producers Alan Whinstanley and Chris Cifford, who is involved with the band Squeeze."
Hardwicke Circus performed a gig with the hit 80s band Squeeze at The Sands Centre in Carlisle late last year.
Dave explained that Chris Cifford saw the band perform when they supported Squeeze and really liked them. They then decided to use him as a producer for the album and have so far recorded the first track together.
Alan Whinstanley is also a well known record producer having worked with classic acts like Elvis Costello and Madness.
It is expected that there will be around twelve songs on the album all of which are brand new.
We are told that the band have spent a lot of time writing new material over the past few months, so they will now be deciding what to use on the album.
Both Hardwicke Circus and the producers are pleased with how the album is coming on and are looking forward to seeing their fans response to the work.
They currently do not have a name for the album and will be using the tracks on it to help them come up with a name. At the moment the band are jokingly calling it "the second one."
Their first album The Borderland came out last year and fore that they had released two EPs in 2015 and 2017.
