Mountain rescuers have been doing some snow training this week.
The Lake District Mountain Rescue Searchdogs, a team of volunteer mountain rescuers who work with rescue search dogs to complete search and rescue missions in the Lake District, were out in the mountains during snowy conditions to train.
A spoksesperson from the team said: "They walked up into the areas were we had trained earlier in the week, not only did they prepare the snow holes for tomorrow’s training but they carried out some avalanche training in some harsh conditions.
"Those that didn’t make the gate worked in the forest, working on indication and area coverage.
"A good day was had by all."
